10th Grade Art Work
Finish the Picture
This work consisted on completing a picture from a cut out. This means that for this project first we had to find a magazine and find an object that was small to medium sized. After cutting this object and pasting it in a blank piece of paper, the goal was to using imagination complete the picture and make it into a piece of artwork. To finish the picture colors had to be used in order to make it seem colorful. This project required a lot of creativity to make the picture seem finished and creative.
This project is a really fun project since each person doing it is able to use their imagination and add their own personal touch to a regular picture that is found in a magazine. In this project the hardest part was selecting the object since their was so many to pick, but I had to find which one will be fun to complete. When I found the picture of an apple I thought it would be fun to complete it by drawing more fruits, which will also make it look more interesting and colorful. I think my strength while creating this picture was being able to create a final picture out of objects I already know and make it look colorful. I believe I could have used more imagination since their was millions of possibilities to create, but I chose one I believed will look nice. When creating this project a lot of imagination is needed and since their is no limits, everything can be drawn, from something really simple to something really complex.

Sketches
During the entire year in Art Class, sketches are requires so that at home everyone is able to practice art and drawing. An sketch may be made in black and white or in colors and can be about anything. Sketches should be creative and well done. It is important to do sketches to be able to practice our art skills and become better artists. In sketches each person can show their art skills by creating anything they wanted, from a collage to a drawing. Creating sketches is a good thing to do to be able to become better at art and to use creativity and imagination.
Creating sketches is one of the most interesting and fun parts of art class. I really enjoy this works since I am able to draw whatever I want and like. While creating sketches I am able to relax and express myself through this drawings. I believe the hardest part of making sketches is choosing what to draw or create, but once this is decided I usually get carried away and work hard in creating them to be similar to what I want that can be candy wrappers or logos or famous cartoon characters. Drawing sketches has improved my art abilities, that is why I believe they are important but also they are really fun.
Practice Grid Drawing
This work consisted in copying a picture from a cut out by creating a grid and drawing in it the same image. To complete this project first of all it was important to get a magazine cut out image. After having this picture the main idea was creating a grid on top of it so that it will be easier to copy it. Once the grid was ready and could be noticed, the next stem was to create a grid beside it in a blank page, in which the other image will be pasted. The grid needed to have the same amount of squares than the original image one and it could be larger to make the drawing easier. After the grid was ready the drawing was made, first in pencil and then coloured to be able to resemble the original one and make it look the same. This project was the previous step to doing a grid drawing in a canvas.
This project was a really interesting and fun project because each person was able to choose what they wanted to draw and were allowed to create the grid in the way they wanted. The most interesting part of this was to choose the image to draw because anything could be drawn. For me drawing an eye was really interesting, that is why I chose to do this. I believe that for me the easiest part was to draw in pencil the image basing myself on the original one to creade the one in the grid. For me this was easier because due to the small squares it was easier to copy the image. The weakness I had while making this project was in coloring since too many different colors and tones were needed and it was hard to find them. Also shading became difficult for me since many shapes could be found in my original image. The challenge in creating a similar image was great, but I enjoyed making it.
